Where to take Couple Photos in Cape Town?
If ever someone asks you where to take couple photos in Cape Town, then direct them to this blog post!
Over the years we have done an insane number of shoots in and around the mother City. So as we are nearing the end of our quieter season, we’ve decided to take the time to highlight our favourites. We hope that with our guidance, you’ll be able to make a better choice on the perfect spot for you.
Having traveled extensively across globe, I’ve seen enough places to safely say that the Western Cape is right up there with the most beautiful places in the world. Here, we have long stretching white beaches, bays with rocks and boulders, mountains, ravines, cliffs, beautiful vineyards and farm land, interesting architecture and so much more!
In this, part 1 of 3, we look at Where to take Couple photos on beaches around Cape Town. In Part 2, we’ll show you the most fantastic inner city and town locations and the final, Part 3, will focus on Farmland, Winelands and nature.
1. Big Bay – Blouberg
Arguably the best view you can get of Table Mountain! This locations is all about Cape Town’s pride! That famous, big, flat shaped mountain. Big Bay has a beautiful flat sandy beach that stretches up the coast for miles.
A more romantic picture than you and your partner, walking along the beach, with the mountain in the background will be hard to find! But that is not the only shot the photographer can bank on – He can also let you play in the shallow water, make you draw love letters in the sand, or get stunning silhouettes of you with the sun setting over the ocean. Sunset is definitely the best time for a photo shoot at Big Bay. And when you are done with the hard work (not), then Eden on the Bay, with all its seaside restaurants, is right there to end off the night with a romantic dinner for two.
2. Paternoster – West Coast
In recent years Paternoster has grown rapidly as a tourist destination, but somehow, they have managed to keep the charm and tranquility that defines it. The sandy beaches with small colourful fishing boats littered around the beach make stunning pictures. the town itself reminds me of Greece, houses painted white with doors and window shutters painted blue. If you have your heart on Paternoster for a couple photos shoot, then I recommend you stay the weekend. There
3. Clifton 4th Beach
The beach itself cannot easily be seen from the mountain pass above, but take the steps down to Clifton 4th beach and a stunning cove with white sandy beach and rounded boulders will be revealed. The beach is almost totally sheltered from the prevailing South Easter, which makes shooting here so much fun! The steep cliffs with overlooking mansions reminds me a bit of Monaco – only Clifton is better!
4. Strand Beach
Dana Point, CA 92629
