You have to take your hat off for the coordinator, David Bloch, that made everything happen within a month! It looked beautiful and our couple had their long-awaited dream wedding just before the third wave hit Gauteng. Just call it impeccable timing!
One thing that makes the Polo Room such a popular wedding venue is that they cater for everything onsite. Both bride and groom got ready in the luxury accommodation on site. Kathryn’s hair and make-up was done by Gina Myers and Liezl Leach and she was dressed in a beautiful gown by The Bridal House. Chris and the boys were dressed in stunning suits by David Harris Custom Made. The ceremony was held on the elevated lawn that overlooks the Polo field and the reception was held in the very versatile Polo Room Event hall.
Kathryn, the owner of a few racehorses, and Chris, a racing agent, Specifically chose this venue because of their love of horses. They even went as far as to transport their champions to be part of the wedding and we were lucky to get a few snaps of them with their pride and joy!
After the lovely ceremony on the lawn, guests relaxed in the same, informal space. We just love this trend for the ceremony and pre-dinner drinks spot to be merged with some formal seating and couches and ottomans. It definitely creates a festive atmosphere and this new trend might be here to stay!
A big shout out to David Bloch and his team for creating one of the most memorable Covid Weddings ever!
