Wedding at Nooitgedacht

The grand finale of Ayah & Louay’s wedding celebrations was the white wedding at Nooitgedacht in Stellenbosch.

This couple from Dubai spared no expense with the festivities.  First, they had their welcoming party at the Grand Beach & Cafe in Cape Town and this was followed by a picnic at Landtscap in Stellenbosch.

Both bride and groom got ready at Nooitgedacht.  Ayah did her preparations in the historic honeymoon suite of the Manor House and Louay and the boys was stationed at one of the adjacent cottages.  The bride made a grand entrance with african dancers leading her entrance down the lane.  She arrived in a classic Rolls Royce.  The couple already married in Dubai and this event was just the celebration.  Hence no ceremony!  Furthermore, they totally broke from tradition and opened the dancefloor outside as Ayah arrived at the guests!  Don’t you just love it when people stray a bit from the norm!

After mingling a bit outside, the wedding party moved indoors to the main hall of Nooitgedacht.  The converted barn was dressed with earthy tones – wooden tables and lots of potted plants that surrounded the U-shaped setup.  This too was very refreshing!  After speeches and dinner, guests were led outside to the open air dance floor with lounge and fire bomas all around – another fantastic concept!

Guests partied the night away until 4am – what an event!
