Wedding at Cavalli

Thomas & Marie-Grace’s wedding at Cavalli Stud Farm was one for the record books!  No fewer than 12 000 meters of Ribbon and 9000 flower stems were used to decorate the ceremony and reception, making it one of the prettiest and lavish celebrations I have seen in my 10 years of being a wedding photographer!

And who else to dream up such a totally original concept than Otto de Jager.  I’ve worked with Otto on several projects and he never ceases to amaze me.  Somehow, he dreams up these totally original creations – each one a masterpiece and a work of art in its own right!  If you are looking for a celebration with a totally unique theme, then the Johannesburg Based Otto de Jager Events is the first you should contact!

The magic started at Clouds Estate, a boutique hotel in the Banhoek Valley just outside Stellenbosch.  It was my first time at Clouds since their total revamp – WOW is all I can say!  Still my favourite view in the whole world, but it does not stop there.  The rooms and spaces are out of this world – luxury, immaculately decorated, with emphasis on comfort and class.  Our bride and groom both got ready here, in separate rooms and travelled through Stellebosch to Cavalli where the ceremony and reception were conducted.

Marie- Grace describes her dress:

The wedding dress is from Pronovias, and was purchased at the MC-Mariage boutique in Rennes, Britanny, France.  Classical design, with clean minimalist lines and a little lace detail…it was love at first sight!

The bridesmaid’s dresses were from BCBG Max Azria, Paris and the groomsmen sported tuxes from Hugo Boss at the Champs Elysées.   Thomas was dressed in a custom designed tuxedo, made by Jean-Marie, tailor at Eric Everwell, from Rennes, Britanny, France.
