It has been a while since we blogged a Vrede en Lust Wedding – Quite excited to share Kylie & Peet’s Autumn wedding with you.

Vrede en Lust is a historic wine estate in Simondium, a small winelands village not too far from Franschhoek.  The estate offers historic Cape Dutch architecture, expansive vineyards and majestic old oak trees.  The Reception Hall is unique – a permanent tented structure with glass walls on 3 sides.  Apart from being one of the foremost wedding venues in Cape Town, Vrede en Lust is also a working farm that produces a stunning range of award-winning wines.

If you are looking for an all-in-one venue that offers all the facilities, from Preparations venues, guest accommodation and ceremony and reception venue, then this is one of the best – but you better book well ahead of time, as Vrede en Lust is well in demand, especially with Expats and foreigners that want to get married in SA.

Both Kylie and Peet got ready at the venue – Kylie and her entourage made use of the historic Cape Dutch Manor house and Peet and the groomsmen got dressed in one of the old slave quarters that was beautifully renovated to serve as guest accommodation.  Kylie had no fewer than 6 girls in her entourage and Peet came in just one short at 5 – quite a big bridal party!  We are mad about Kylie’s stunning laced dress from Vonve Bridal and Peet looked very dapper in his custom-made suit by Frank Bespoke.
