A little less than a month ago we had the opportunity to document Haseena & Richard’s intimate spring wedding at Molenvliet. Like most of our UK couples getting married here in SA, Haseena and Richard also have strong ties with South Africa. Haseena was born here but now lives in London. She met Richard, an Englishman, at Oxford while studying. She’s always dreamt of coming back to her roots to tie the knot and when they set their eyes on Molenvliet with its magnificent views of the vineyards and mountains, they both knew that they had found the perfect venue and that the dream was about to come true!
Haseena appointed top wedding planner, Izandi of I do 4 U to help with the concept and planning. And as always, Izandi did not disappoint! Two beautiful decorated long tables were set outside with draping and hanging florals creating a magical outdoor dining experience for the reception. The flowers and décor were done by Paramithi and N Concepts. The ceremony was held on the newly built ceremony area between the vineyards with a stunning arched floral backdrop set against the towering Franschhoek mountains in the background.
Both bride and groom got ready at Molenvliet. Haseena and the girls made use of the spectacular Manor house that is set on top of the hill and overlooks the vineyards and mountains. Richard and his crew got ready at the River Manor.
After a quick ceremony that involved the exchange of rings and the presenting of gifts to the couple, guests enjoyed sumptuous canapés and mocktails prepared by the Two Chefs catering team. For the couple photos, we took the couple up to the manor house and made use of the lovely greenery and gardens that surround it.
The evening ended with the open air dinner on a lovely spring evening with family and guests celebrating in style in one of the most beautiful settings in the world!
