Pasella Viewers Evening

Lourensford Wine Estate

I must confess that I’m not very big on TV, except for those big rugby games and the odd Sunday night movie….  But after taking the photos at the Pasella Viewers Evening I realised that there’s a whole subculture out there that lives for TV and in particular popular SABC programs like Pasella!

Over the weekend Pasella together with RSG hosted an very stylish and elegant event at Lourensford Estate in Somerset West.  The glitzy evening was attended by a lucky Pasella fans that won tickets through a countrywide competition – on the night they rubbed shoulders with famous Pasella presenters (the likes of Dieter Voigt & Paul Rothmann) as well as SABC big wigs and other industry creatives.

I love Corporate Events!

Pasella is an Afrikaans variety television program that covers cultural and traditional topics – Apparently it’s been running for 13 years and is one of SABC2′s most watched programs!  WOW, did not know that.

In true traditional Cape Town style, guests were welcomed by the Cape Malay Minstrels while they enjoyed “plankie vleis” & chicken skewers straight off the braai.  Johan Rademan & Martelize Brink of RSG did a live broadcast from Lourensford that featured interviews with all the Pasella presenters.  After the glam sit-down meal, guests enjoyed live performances by Jovan & Thelma as well as a beautiful piano accompanied performance by  the very talented Charlene Lackay (Truter) The event was coordinated by The Aleit Group & food by Stir Food!
