On Tuesday we posted Marlize & Philip’s engagement photo shoot and I saw a few people commented that they cannot wait for the wedding photos… Well here it is! It was definitely worth it trekking all the way to Kuruman for this wedding. What a beautiful part of South Africa this is! Marlize, you looked stunning and Philip, not to shabby yourself.
Apart from Marlize’s stunning dress, there were plenty of other interesting and somewhat unusual elements to be mentioned… loved the eighties convertible Mercedes, the pink gumboots and the free roaming “bambies”, but the twin flower girls definitely stole the show! Enjoy the photos.
Kalahari Kuruman Wedding Photos
Kuruman is a gorgeous small town in the Northern Cape, considered to be the Oasis of the Kalahari. The area is known for its scenic beauty, fauna and flora, and a geological feature known as the Eye of Kuruman that supplies the area with water from beneath the earth. Because of the beauty of the Kuruman, this is a great location for a safari wedding. Surrounded by nature, this is the perfect venue for a destination wedding in Africa. Kuruman is situated on the main route between Gauteng and Namibia/Cape Town. The route is growing in popularity because of its beautiful nature and various tourist attractions. The area has relatively mild weather patterns compared to other Northern Cape towns. As opposed to other semi-arid desert towns in the surrounding area, Kuruman is lush with African vegetation.
