It’s not every day that you get the chance to do event photography in Istanbul, Turkey! But thanks to the Aleit Group‘s trust in me to cover one of their most prestigious assignments of the year, I got the chance to photograph this awesome event at the Ritz Carlton on the banks of the Bosphorus.
Over the years I have travelled extensively and have seen most of Europe’s big cities. First Paris was my favourite, then Barcelona…but after spending just 5 days in Istanbul, I definitely have a new favourite! This place is so vibey and full of culture and energy. It oozes character and personality and I now fully understand why it is rated as the top travel destination in the world at the moment.

The Africa Energy Forum Event Planned by Aleit Group
Each year the Africa Energy Forum is held in one of Europe’s top cities. This year’s event was special as it was the 5th year that we worked together as a team to host and cover the very exclusive dinner. This corporate event is for the cream of the banking and energy industries. Each year the forum is a true example of style and a showpiece for the talent, creativity and international capabilities of the Aleit Group in handling events outside of South Africa. The Aleit Group has made a name for themselves as the premier corporate events planners.
I had the opportunity to work with the Master himself, Aleit Swanepoel. Again I was reminded why this events company has grown to such a force in the entertainment industry. Their ability to pull off an event of this calibre from South Africa just shows why they are regarded as number one in SA! Planning an international award ceremony is not an easy feat, but this team pulls it off with grace.
