Strand Beach

Alana & Jan’s Engagement Photoshoot was a special one for Natelee, as Alana, one of the top Wedding dress designers in Cape Town, is also a very close friend.

Unlike our normal pre-wedding shoots that happen on one location, the couple wanted to show a bit of their everyday life. The shoot started with Alana in her studio and with Jan making a delicious pizza and some of his famous coffee brews.

Adorable Engagement Photoshoot

Location number two for this engagement photoshoot was a secret picnic spot with Jan. The character that he is, changing into a “Bear-suit” hahaha. Last stop was on Strand beach for some stunning sunset photos. You can say what you want, but Strand beach has always been a favourite of mine, the reflections on the beach with the Gordon’s Bay mountains in the background is unbeatable!

Jan & Alana got engaged while on holiday in Thailand for a friends wedding. You might remember Marita & Ryno’s wedding that Natelee covered at the start of 2013 in Koh Samui. Apparently, Jan went down on one knee while the whole wedding party had a meal in a local restaurant! Keep an eye on the blog for Alana & Jan’s wedding photos done at Old Mac Daddy – a quirky bling affair true to the creative spirit of this couple.

Natelee’s favourite photo is the close-up shot of Jan & Alana kissing, showing off her whopping engagement ring Jan had especially made.
