Ashlynne & Brent’s wedding at Molenvliet was unique. Ever seen dogs at a wedding? Yes, you might say… Mostly people involve their furry friends as the ring bearers. But this wedding was different! Ashlynne and Brent wanted to have their beloved Pomeranians feature at the wedding. Not only feature, but they actually wanted them to form part and experience the wedding fully! Well, here you have it! Our first doggie wedding… Our couple’s Toy Poms were involved in just about every part, from the preparations straight through to the couple shoot!
Ashlynne and the girls got ready at the majestic Manor house at Molenvliet and Brent and the boys did their preps at the River Manor. For us as photographers, Molenvliet is one of the easiest venues to work at. There are plenty of prep venues on site which helps a lot with the logistics of getting between bride and groom before they come together at the ceremony. We loved Ashlynne’s look. She did her hair and make-up herself! WOW. It’s probably worth mentioning that she’s a hair extension professional. If you want to be in contact, you can get her details at the bottom of this post.
The ceremony took place on the top lawn, a spot with the most amazing views over the Stellenbosch mountains and looking down on the Molenvliet vineyards. From there, the whole wedding party took a stroll down to the reception hall. Here, guests were treated to the finest Canape’s, prepared by Two Chefs Catering. While guests were being treated to the finest cuisine and wine, we took the couple for the photoshoot on the estate. Of course, the 4 Pomeranians were part of the shoot! Have a look below – very cute, I must confess!
The reception was lovely! I have to commend Kelly Sadie of Red in Paris Events on pulling this stunning wedding together! We loved to shoot at Molenvliet as always and the wedding was interesting and fun! Photos by Wendy & Ruan Lategan
