In the run up to this shoot I could not contain myself.  It has been quite a while since I’ve had the opportunity to do Cape Town Waterfront Couple photos and this time around I got to work with the stunning couple of Chanel and Jaco to be by muses!  Chanel is an up and coming photographer – be sure to check out her work here.

But then as it got closer to our prized sunset golden hour, the clouds set in and I dreaded a grey moody affair…  Luckily the weather gods looked upon us favourably and those grey skies turned into the most beautiful pastel-coloured sunset and I managed to get a real stunner of a set of Cape Town Waterfront Couple Photos!

A quick tip for other photographers wanting to shoot at the Waterfront:

Security is strict, so best you get permission from the authorities, unless you want to run the risk and go at it gorilla-style.  Just know that if you are not very discreet, your Cape Town Waterfront Couple Photos might be cut short by one of the many security guards patrolling the area.

The importance of an engagement photo session – If you have the chance to do some couple photos with your wedding photographer before your wedding, then go for it.  It will do your confidence in front of the camera  a ton of good and will make you feel so much more at ease on your wedding day.

In a session like this you will see how your photographer operates, you will learn a few flattering poses and you will get to know the person (the photographer) that will be with you for for 8+ hours on your wedding day.  Look at it as a wise investment to ensure stunning wedding photos
