When we heard about the stunning new venue opening in Constantia, we vowed to be the first photographers doing a shoot there. A few phone calls later and we had some of the most well known and established vendors in the wedding industry joining us to do our Delft Blue inspired Styled Shoot. We teamed up with Pink Book Weddings and some of the wedding industry’s leading suppliers to put together this beautiful feature.

The Anna Georgina Wedding Dresses
None other than Cape Town’s most loved wedding dress designer, Kobus Dippenaar, provided two Anna Georgina Wedding Dresses, to fit in with the venue and the theme. Furthermore, we had Alicia Buckle do the hair and make-up to transform our model, Danni de Raedt, to the elegant bride she so well portrayed. The exceptionally creative team of Okasie was on board to do the flowers, decor and styling. Add to that our ZaraZoo girls and you have a dream team!
So what is Delf Blue? In short, it is the blue and white pottery that is made in and around Delft in the Netherlands. The origins date as far back as 1602 when the dutch were introduced to porcelain from China. It became so popular that the Dutch started making their own porcelain creations. They imitated the porcelain created in China and created Delftware. In the centuries to come, Delft became one of the most important ceramics producers in Europe. Delftware became a symbol of wealth with rich families proudly showing off their vases, dishes and tiles.
With this photo shoot, we combined white and blue and brought in the delft elements that is characteristic of the ceramic line. This line of “something blue” would then be tied in with adding the same colour or patterns in the bridesmaid dresses and groom & groomsmen attire.
Our very secret venue in Constantia is soon to be one of the jewels of Cape Town. It promises to be one of the most sought after locations in the southern suburbs, if not the whole of the Western Cape. We will reveal more details about this exclusive address soon. Stay tuned for more info.
