This must be the most stylish and fresh “Plaas troues” I have seen recently. Some people just have the knack for pulling it off. Paula is one of them. She is a true “Boere meisie” with a lot of flair! Paula and Ernie got married at her beautiful guest house in Douglas. Taking that this town has little over 3000 residents, I am very impressed with the quality of wedding staged! The Northern Cape rocks! Makes one want to be a Boer hey….!

“Although it was a bit of a trek to get to Douglas from Cape Town, It was well worth it” says Andre. I think this is one of the best weddings he has shot for ZaraZoo!
“Vintage” was the theme of the day. Guests were asked to dress up in 1920 style and the decor also had this classic touch. There was so much detail to shoot – what a feast. The day nearly had a disastrous turn when the two donkeys pulling Paula and the bridesmaids decided they had enough of being reigned. Like true escape artists, they wriggled themselves loose from the halters. It left the donkey cart tumbling backwards! Luckily no one got hurt – These donkey escapades will probably be talked about for years! Hehehehe.
The wedding took place on the grounds of Paula’s Guest House, Villiera, just outside Douglas. The couple photos was taken in the wheat fields of Ernie’s farm.
