It has been a while since we covered a wedding at Webersburg.  Off course we covered the “Wedding of the Year” at this awesome Stellenbosch wedding now nearly 3 years ago!

Luanda, Angola (where the couple lives) does not have that many world class wedding venues – for that reason Neusa & Renato opted to have their wedding in the Stellenbosch winelands.  It would have been impossible to organise the wedding was it not for their old friend, Tracy Branford of Trunk!  Tracy suggested to do the wedding at Webersburg and what a great choice this was.  This venue really has a fantastic settings and all the elements for a world class venue – from the beautifully restored Cape Dutch buildings with their characteristic gables to the beautiful old oak trees that shade the expansive roling lawns. The Venue overlooks the Stellenbosch mountains and what a setting this was for the pre-ceremony drinks! The grooms preps was done at Spier Wine Estate and the bridal preps was done on-site in the historic manor house.

For the Catholic ceremony, St Mary’s in Stellenbosch was chosen. The modern, purpose built reception hall is set on the edge of a lake and for the pre-drinks Tracy suggested a stretch tent on the edge so that the guests, most of them from Angola, could experience the the full splendor of the views and nature scenes the cape winelands have to offer.
