V & A Waterfront – E-session

Mei and Riaan are getting married at Oudekraal Nature Reserve, about 500 meters from the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa.  We met up for their E-session at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town.

A photographer friend of mine Aziz of Aira Photography ( from London) will be covering their big day for us – since he is only flying in the day before, I stood in to do the E-session.

I think the wedding photographers in the Western Cape are a good example of what team work can be.  When Mitch Wong Ho was booked, he referred Mei and Riaan to me – thanks Mitch!  I will surely return the favour soon!   And it does not stop at referrals – We share tips, ideas techniques etc.  This all helps the wedding photographers here in the Western Cape to be some of the best in the world!  Keep it up guys – I am proud of you all!

The Waterfront is such a cool location to shoot at.  You have the harbour, the boats, Table mountain – it just oozes with opportunities!  Mei and Riaan was a bit on the stiff side when we started off, but by the end of the session their true self came out.  This is exactly why we do the e-sessions.  It gives us a chance to get familiar with each other, calm those nerves and settles the fear of the camera, so that we have a relaxed bride and groom on the wedding day.

The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront  is one of South Africa’s foremost Tourist attractions.  It has numerous attractions, including the two oceans aquarium and a upmarket shopping mall.  The boat trip to Robben Island, (where Nelson Mandela was kept) also departs from here.
