About a week ago we posted the E-session of Eimear and Steve and this week Monday, we did their wedding at the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa.
We had a winning recipe:
- Pretty bride
- Good looking groom
- Easy going couple and the perfect weather conditions

…and see the results!

I just loved Eimear’s dress – uncomplicated and elegant. It worked perfectly with her! The rooms at the Twelve Apostles all have an “airy” feel. The soft, white tones used are great to work with and complimented the desired look. We love the unusual shot of the shoes below… (shoes hooked into the mirror on the wall)
The outdoor ceremony was done held on th lawn of the Fynbos Garden. This spot has one of the best views in the world. On the one side you have the ocean and on the other side the majestic Cape Mountains from which the venue bears its name.
For the couple photos, we headed up a tricky little mountain path – probably meant for hiking – but Eimear and Steve were up for it. Up there, we found a interestingly shaped rock. I convinced the couple to risk a 2 meter fall and climb up – they were great sports, but I think rather releived when this part of the session was over. I feel very proud of these shots, especially the one right at the top of ths post.
Then we were off to Llandudno to take some beach shots. We had a bit of fun and then created this shot. It looks a bit eerie, with her aparently gliding in the air, but we like it. Again, the E-session done with this couple helped in getting them relaxed in front of the camera. See their E-session photos here.
We ended the day back at the Twelve Apostles in the Marquee. Out of a photographers point of view, this venue works well, because when the flaps are lifted (like in this wedding) you have an amazing view over the ocean while enjoying the meal. Also, the roof is white and works great for bouncing your flash! Funny enough, there were no South Africans in this party, just English and Irish…. They had a ball!
The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is a great venue for small weddings like this one (30 guests). It offers the all in one packages that can be very attractive for foreign weddings.
