Interesting theme for a shoot! And well executed…

I also use off camera speedlights on shoots where I need to be able to move around a lot, but can’t get away with natural light. Sometimes the shadow cast can be distracting in the final image, but in other cases it may be useful; adding an otherwordly feel (see my own example: http://goo.gl/qApvb). I think for these images, the weird shadows adds to the contrast that you were going for

This is cool. My wife and son spent several weeks in a Township in Cape Town last summer. It was a life changing experience for them. Awesome photos.

Hey Jason, please elaborate a bit more on your comment. I think you might have read the statement in the wrong way. Maybe especially the word “darker” might have been taken up wrong…. We are refering to a bride/model that is not your traditional “angel” – I love debates, so lets keep it going – something interesting is brewing here.

I’ve also recently started playing around with some off camera flashes. It’s quite tricky I must say, but I hope to get the hang of it soon…But looks like you guys are pros!
