At last, we’re revealing venues 4 and 3 in our 4 part series on the Top 10 Cape Town Wedding Venues.  Here’s a list of the countdown so far.

Here is number 4 & 3 of the best Cape Town Wedding Venues.  (4)Waterkloof Estate in Somerset West & (3) Landtscap in Stellenbosch.

Somerset West boasts with our number 4 of the top 10 wedding venues.  Waterkloof Wine Estate is situated high up on a hill that slopes down to False Bay.  The venue definitely boasts with one of the best views in South Africa!  Spectacular, modern, futuristic, the restaurant with glass walls offers an amazing panorama over False Bay below and the Hottentots-Holland mountains on the horizon – the sunset from up there is mind blowing!

Rolling hills of vineyards that stretch as far as you can see – the perfect scenery you can expect of a working farm in one of the most beautiful parts of the Cape.  Photo opportunities for the couple photo shoot are plenty. The estate has quite a few working horses that lends some more photo options to the bride and groom.

The venue does not offer a sheltered ceremony solution, but for outdoor ceremonies the lawn below the restaurant and even the parking lot gives you the most amazing 270 degree views while saying your vows.  Somerset West is a mere 5 minutes away and this historic town has plenty of churches if that is your preference.

Waterkloof Restaurant doubles up as the wedding reception venue.  On wedding days, the eatery is closed for the public and the wedding party has free reign of this amazing venue and all the facilities.

French chef Gregory Czarnecki and his team delivers an unforgettable culinary experience and this is the reason why this wedding venue is the popular choice for food lovers.  Couple the excellent cuisine with the fantastic range of Waterkloof wines and you have the perfect wedding catering experience.

This one is special – arguably the venue with the best panoramic view of the whole of the Winelands – with views stretching from Hangklip to Stellenbosch, to Wellington!  But it’s not only the views that impress, but also the modern concrete structure mixed with earthy elements and a roof garden – so fresh and creative.  Brand new – we have only shot two events here, but it has impressed us so much that it shot in to the number 3 spot of our top 10 Cape Town Wedding Venues!

Situated in the Devon Valley, just outside Stellenbosch, Landtscap stands iconic on the top of a hill overlooking the rolling hills plum orchards, vineyards and farm land.  Adjacent to the reception venue is the beautiful lawn, used as an outdoor ceremony venue.  Other options for the ceremony include the wooden decked balcony or for smaller weddings, inside the main reception hall.  The latter can be divided with cleverly built-in wooden dividers to separate spaces.

the mix of straight lines of the concrete structure, wooden decking, magnificent views over the Stellenbosch valley, vineyards and orchards is a photographers dream.  Plenty of photo opportunities here!

The venue can easily accommodate 160 seated guests – not counting the huge balcony.  This high ceiling and minimalist design of the reception space gives an empty canvas that can be themed up to fit in with the look and feel you’ve created for your wedding.  Another bonus is that, included in the venue hire for your event is their collection of solid oak tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glasses – a contemporary set of furniture that will compliment the modern wedding.
