Oudekraal is part of the greater Table Mountain National Park.  It is open for the public up to 5pm, but they also take the odd wedding on the weekends – No problem with sound levels here, as the closest people to disturb are guests at the nearby Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa (500m away).   The Twelve Apostles incidentally was the preps venue of Mei and her girls.

Since Andre and myself were both busy shooting weddings that day, we got Aziz, a good friend from London to help us out.  Aziz runs Aira Photography in London and shoots with us in the very busy SA summer months.  In turn, we shoot for him in London during July and August when the UK wedding season is heated up.

Aziz has an amazing artistic eye and likes shooting with prime lenses.  If you are getting married in London and we are not available, he’s the man to book.  Check out the other 2 shoots he did with us while here in South Africa:

The ceremony was held on a massive flat rock that stretches into the sea.   This spot has a great view of the Atlantic ocean and Lions head.  The sunsets here are also out of this world (that’s if there are no clouds…)

The reception was held in the Boma at Oudekraal.  A Bedouin tent was stretched over this enclosed area to make a fabulous outdoor reception venue.

Later on that night Mei was blessed by a very rich uncle.  His gift to her was a trillion dollars….  You guessed it – Zim Dollars!! Hahaha.
