International Wedding Photographers ZaraZoo Wedding Photography – Cape Town

This wedding was a big test for my stamina as I had run my first TWO OCEANS half marathon the same morning of the wedding!!  All I can say is…. the training paid off.  I saw a few other guests limping around though!!!

From the little chapel at Ataraxia we moved on to the neighbouring farm of Creation Wines for the reception.   I’m not normally a vinyard shot type of guy, but the autumn colours and clear blue sky made it irresistable.

My favourites of this post are the shots in front of the silver cellar door.  It lends such an interesting and contrasting background texture – I like to include architecture and strong lines in my couple sessions.   With the editing I tried out a new style this time around.  I call it the “Dirty Look”  What do you think of it?  The photo below was edited with this effect.

To create this shot at the top:

Full Moon, some feather clouds, Canon 1D MKIII on tripod with 10 second exposure at F5.6 with a 15mm fixed lens.  ISO 640.  With the wide angle lens, you get a bit of distortion, but it adds to the effect of the shot.  I love my 15mm!!
