Robyn & Roirdyn loves our work, but we were already booked for their wedding date! What a loss! …because these two were great sports when we did a pre-wedding shoot with them in Cape Town.
Keep your eye on the blog over the next few days, we have a lot to follow; a few e-sessions in London and Paris as well as weddings in Blackpool, London, Liverpool and Cotswold! Enjoy!

Just got this pic from Andre (the other half of ZaraZoo). It was taken at Dubai Airport just before he boarded the new Airbus A380-800 to London! Andre says this baby flies so smooth, it feels like you are parked somewhere in mid-air!
Oh, If you do not know what all the fuss is about… the Airbus A380 is the biggest passenger plane ever built. It is a double decker plane that can seat 525 passengers and even has a full bar in the First Class area!!!
Andre is covering a wedding in London this week and will be back in the office next Thursday. If you are thinking of booking us and live in London, then you can meet up with Andre to chat about your photography and even do a free E-session!! Give us a buzz at the office or phone Andre directly on +44 752 146 2384.
I’ll (Stefan) be shooting in London in July and still have some dates open:
12/7
26/7
…so if you’re getting married in the UK or France, why not get an award winning photographer (hint, hint) to do your wedding photography?
Andre will be in London again in August to wrap up the UK Wedding season!

Just got back from a long day of shooting marketing photos for the band Zamar in Cape Town. It was loads of fun, but now I’m knacked!!!
Since I started using Google Analytics, I’ve become a total addict. It is permanently open on my browser, so that I can see the performance of the ZaraZoo blog in real time. And this is what I found when I looked at it just now….
We have just hit 10 000 visits to the blog since we started it only 5 months ago!!! A big thank you to all our regular blog stalkers and supporters. You motivate us to push the boundries and inspire us to deliver extra ordinary work!
If you are curious to see the shots of Zamar, why not let us post them to your email inbox through our RSS feed once we make that post?
Posts to follow in the rest of the week:
- Tomorrow – Cape Town City Bowl E-session
- Thursday – Herman & Mia’s Wedding pics
- Friday – Jane & Bernard’s E-session

No, this has nothing to do with bigamy!
The previous record we had was when we did the twin wedding of Yolanda Cuba and her sister Amanda!
But not all the brides at this wedding were getting married. The true bride of the day was Thereza Scholtz The four other brides, whose weddings we shot in the past year and a half, were guests.
We are still editing Thereza’s photos, but you can see the previous posts on Niki’s Photos and Marieke’s Photos. Brigit and Yolandi’s weddings were done pre-blog, but you can see them on our website.
Is anyone to argue that ZaraZoo is blessed with good looking brides?

A photographer friend of mine, Christine Meintjes, recently listed her 10 favourite photoblogs to visit. Of the 10, I liked these two most:
1. Juliet-Nicole – Her colourful and crisp photos paired with creative angles and fresh ideas is what caught my eye.
2. Jessica Claire – The quality and standard of weddings featured on Jessica’s blog is astonishing! Her work has an air of class and sophistication; her style is romantic and observational.
I think South Africa has some of the best photographers in the world, most sadly not recognized. This is can be ascribed due to the fact that we are about 5 years behind other first world countries when it comes to Internet capabilities and usage. But those photographers in SA that have woken up to the power of the Internet are reaping the rewards and getting noticed by the global community.
So here goes my effort to get SA Wedding Photographers noticed on the web. My 5 favourite SA Wedding photography blogs:
- Westside Studio – Very creative and refreshing. Go here to inspired!
- Christine Meintjes – Romantic and crisp with attention to fine detail and femininity.
- Pro Photography – Breathtaking Wedding landscape shots – good use of lighting.
- Ryan Graham - Clean and sophisticated photos. If you like B&W, this blog is a must to check out.
- Jean-Pierre Uys – Stylistic, attention to detail – Looks like he’s got a sixth sense to anticipate great moments.
As you can see, these are all Cape Town Wedding Photographers – I am sure there are plenty of great photographers up north – feel free to post comments with other blogs you feel should be noted.
