What does Beloftebos, an old Plymouth Valiant, sapphire rings from ANPA, a broken down Double Decker Bus and fynbos konfetti have in common??
Nothing!…. But yet all these things were present at Herman and Mia’s wedding!

Photography by Andre van Niekerk.
Beloftebos near Stanford was recently rated one of the most outrageous venues for a wedding ceremony. The tree covering is actually so thick that it qualifies to be indoors, and therefore the wedding register can be signed just there under the trees!
Herman is one of the new kids on the block in the advertising industry. He runs a very successful advertising agency, Fishgate, with his brother. Mia is an architect. They’re a very arty & funky couple and there was no hiding it at the wedding.
Funky cool awesome wedding car: Plymouth Valiant (owned by Beloftebos)
Konfetti: Fynbos leaves – turned out to be a bit on the hard (sore) side
Rings: Sapphire and white gold rings from ANPA (bespoke jewellery).
For the photo shoot, they jumped into the Valiant and got back onto the dirt road. It think the shot at top is cool, but a bit freaky – looks a bit like a mass murderer driving his victims to the sluaghterhouse (without them knowing).
Herman spotted the old double decker bus in the field and instructed his brother (the driver) to put the Valiant in 4 x 4 and turbo boost them there – hey nevermind the 4 x 4…. this car can do with a bit of turbo boost!
Someone must have lived in this bus once before, but it’s now deserted and empty – it made a great backdrop though!! Not so sure about the old “kleinhuisie shot” Andre… I wonder what Herman was contemplating while leaning on that wall….?
