Standard Bank hosted a conference it the CTICC in the past week. To show their appreciation to their big business account holders, they treated them to a night out at The Bang Bang Club in Cape Town. Hylton Morby Smith of 24 Carrots (corporate events company) organized the event.

Our job: Capture the party…
The very popular Mood Mechanics was hired to spice up the night – and so they did! Hylton explained to me that the Mood Mechanics are a bunch of actors that are hired to integrate into a party to get the vibe going. So when the dancing started, these guys were the first on the floor…. and hey, it worked… Not long after, the Bang Bang club lived up to its reputation, with 100 happy account holders partying away!

It has been ages since I’ve been out in the City of Cape Town at night. I did not quite know what to expect in terms of safety. But… I was amazed to see so many public safety officials on the road… It made me feel as safe as I do when walking around in London at night! Great job Cape Town!
The Bang Bang Club is situated at 70 Loop Street in Cape Town. They cater for all types of venues. You could book out the venue, or their members lounge in the mezzanine overlooking the dance floor, or their super swanky champagne room for smaller groups.
This job was actually done by our sister company, Photo & Video Productions that covers Corporate events photography and video in Cape Town and London, UK.
Oh, almost forgot, almost all of these images were shot at 3200 ISO on my Canon 1D MKIII… I love my camera!
