This wedding was certainly one of my top 3 of the year! I had such a hard time to choose the images that I decided to rather do 2 posts about it.

I knew the day I met this super couple that their wedding would be one of my best of the season. They are so easy to get along with and such cool people. In my post about their E-session, I told the story of how Wilhelm gave up his profession as a successful lawyer to persue his passion in the restaurant business – this is inspiring stuff!
Well, the wedding was just as inspiring and full of love! With the speeches I heard every bit of detail of the effort and thought that went into the planning – perfectly reflected on the day.
They chose the newly built chapel on the Ataraxia Wine Estate for the ceremony. Ataraxia lies in the heart of the Hemel en Aarde Valley near Hermanus and is owned by the well known wine maker, Kevin Grant. A more serene and tranqual setting will be hard to find. The small chapel lies on top of a hill that is drarfed by the enormous Babylon mountian in the background. It is spectacular!!
The reception was held at the neighbouring farm, Creation Wines – but more about this in the next post.
Andrea and her entourage got ready at Spookfontein, just a few kilometers down the road.
Andrea’s dad conducted the ceremony – It must be the perfect way to give away your daugther!
I had the opportunity to work with Marius Voigt, my business partner of years ago. We started a wedding photography & videography business in London almost 5 years ago. ZaraZoo Photography is a direct extention of that business. Marius is very creative and got some awesome shots at this wedding. Thx Marius!!

Wilhelm Kuhn is the co-owner of Jardine Restaurant in Cape Town. Jardine Restaurant was rated the 2nd best restaurant in South Africa by Eat Out Magazine in 2008. Wilhelm’s partner in this fine dining restaurant multi-award winning Scottish chef, George Jardine.
The Heaven & Earth Valley (Hemel & Aarde Vallei) is a unique valley between Hermanus and Caledon in the Western Cape of South Africa.
