WOW! Taryn, you made my week! I soooo enjoyed editing your wedding, that I lost track of time. Lance, you married one of the most beautiful and sensual woman that I have shot thus far!
Lance & Taryn got married at the quaint St George’s Anglican church near Franschhoek and then hosted their reception at Dieu Donne Restaurant in Franschhoek – perfect conditions – perfect couple – what more can you ask for!
Andre will be shooting David and Amanda’s wedding in Durban at Insingizi Game Lodge this coming weekend. He met up with them in Brighton (UK) for a bit of fun on the World Famous Brighton Pier. Be on a lookout for their wedding photos by the middle of next week.
This year our photography has taken us all over the globe. Apart from South Africa, we’ve done shoots in Thailand, the UK and France. Here are some of my favourite travel photos taken in Thailand and Hong Kong.
This must be the most stylish and fresh “Plaas troues” I have seen recently. Some people just have the knack for pulling it off. Paula is one of them. She is a true “Boere meisie” with a lot of flair! Paula and Ernie got married at her beautiful guest house in Douglas. Taking that this town has little over 3000 residents, I am very impressed with the quality of wedding staged! The Northern Cape rocks! Makes one want to be a Boer hey….!

This is the way to do it… A small, romantic wedding with your closest family and friends in the beautiful setting of the Cape Winelands. Johanna was born in South Africa, but have lived in Scotland her whole life and Michael is a Scot through and through. Grande Roche with its quaint little chapel, fitting only 11 people, was the setting for this intimate emotional wedding.
Johanna wanted us to capture the essence of the day, natural photos that would tell the story. They also felt that Black & White images would give it a timeless feel. So, that’s why you will see more than the usual B&W in this set. Enjoy!
The above photo might be reminiscent of a Jet Li movie shot in Texas… nope! This shot was taken one the first weddings we shot for The Aleit Group this year.
And it was not shot in Texas, but rather in the Cape Winelands, at well known Vrede en Lust. This one might sound a bit tricky… but Sue and Rowland are both Chinese, but grew up in South Africa and now live in the UK. This wedding radiated the class and style you would expect of a wedding coordinated by Aleit Weddings. Sue and Rowland and the family as a whole was so relaxed and fun to work with – hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as we loved working with you!
Oh, how can I not mention Hayley and the team of Aleit for making this event run super smooth!
Denise and Kofi got married in London in August. Oops… we somehow forgot to post their E-session, but here it is at last. Andre met up with them close to Tower Bridge for a bit of fun.
If you have not heard of the BLACK MARKET RIOTS yet, then you better take notice. They’re one of the most promising new bands on the South African rock scene! Andre was there for their new EP and music video launch at Aandklas in Stellenbosch.

This must be one of the most romantic shots we have shot this year! And who would’ve guessed that it was done in Durbanville!
Most people think Durbanville represents just the well established suburbs in the boerewors belt… Well, think again! Durbanville also has some of the finest wine farms in the Western Cape!
Thys & Ladine will tie the knot on the Louw family farm, Diemersdal, in the Durbanville Winelands in December. The farm has been in the family for 6 generations, more than 200 years. It is one of the oldest and most established wine farms in the country!
And… ZaraZoo is over the moon to be covering the wedding! The cherry on the cake, is that this wedding is coordinated by Aleit Weddings with collaboration of Karla Oettler of Absolute Weddings! – Two of the top wedding coordinators in South Africa putting heads together… can’t wait to see the amazing decor, style and fresh ideas they will cook up for this one! Andre is covering Paula & Ernie’s wedding in Douglas (Northern Cape) this coming weekend. About a month ago, Andre met up with them in Camps Bay for their pre-wedding shoot. Niki & I met Karla Oettler at an industry party 3 years ago and since then she’s become a very close friend of ours.
Karla is one of the top wedding coordinators in South Africa, so when it came to hosting her own birthday party this year, all the stops was pulled out!
The quaint fisherman’s town of Paternoster on the West Coast, was the setting for a gettaway weekend with an awesome crowd, good food and celebrations. Even though this small town is now quite well known, it has not lost any of its appeal. All the houses are painted white with hints of blue on the frames, doors and fences.
Being a photographer, how can you not want to capture something that took so much thought to plan and lay out!
