Jane and Bernard live near Durban and flew in to Cape Town to do a bit of shopping and to do their E-session with us. We will be photographing their wedding in May at Collisheen Estate in Kwazulu Natal.

This is not an April fools joke….
I was asked to be a judge at the annual Bride-to-Be competition that will be held in Malmesbury this coming Wednesday, the 1st of April! All proceeds of this fundraiser will go to the Moorreesburg and Wellington Childrens’s homes.
The Bride-to-Be 2009 competition will take place at the Malmesbury City Hall and will start at 19:00 on the 1st of April. Entertainment will be provided by Izak Davel & Pedro Kruger. Tickets for this formal event can be bought by emailing Amore von Wielligh on salonamore@gmail.com or contacting her on 084 556 5571. Tickets are R150 and include a meal and wine.

I think we are in a Cape Town City phase with the E-sessions – Face it, the beach is cool, but the sand….mmmm…. just joking!
We met up with Colette and Philip near Green Market Square for a walk around Town. They’re getting married at La Petite Dauphine (our favourite venue!!!) this coming Saturday. See more of their E-session in the rest of this post.

Just got back from a long day of shooting marketing photos for the band Zamar in Cape Town. It was loads of fun, but now I’m knacked!!!
Since I started using Google Analytics, I’ve become a total addict. It is permanently open on my browser, so that I can see the performance of the ZaraZoo blog in real time. And this is what I found when I looked at it just now….
We have just hit 10 000 visits to the blog since we started it only 5 months ago!!! A big thank you to all our regular blog stalkers and supporters. You motivate us to push the boundries and inspire us to deliver extra ordinary work!

This is Part 2 of Melani and Justin’s wedding that took place in Hermanus. See Part 1 (preparations, ceremony & couple shoot) if you missed it.
Mosselberg on Grotto is an amazing Guest House in Hermanus. I think I will have my 10 year wedding anniversary here! It has so much to work with, interesting decor, interesting architecture and water features – in all it’s just a great space!

Ashley and Olivia are born and bred Captonians, but these days they are high flyers in Johannesburg. Most of their family and friends still live in Cape Town, so it was the logical choice to tie the knot down south. The chosen venue was Backsberg Wine Estate near Paarl.

Afternoon weddings are fab! They’re less complicated, cheaper and the coolest thing is that I can get away early enough to still spend the evening with my family… I’m not saying I don’t like evening weddings – its just nice to have the odd afternoon wedding in the mix…
The stoep at Erinvale Hotel and Spa is a great spot for an afternoon wedding. This top notch hotel, has all the characteristics of a wine estate – beautiful gabled Cape Dutch main building and a lovely stoep shaded by enormous old oak trees in its gardens.
