- It’s a challenge for me to get on with the couple from the word go – Different personalities call for different approaches.
- Amazing satisfaction of getting a couple from being stiff and awkward in front of the lens, to bubbly and totally relaxed – in just 20 minutes!
- I love the fact that we have the time and opportunity to make mistakes and push boundaries – so we know what to do and not to do on the wedding day.
- I get to see places I would not normally go to – and a lot of sunsets at the beach off course!
E-session photos should be fun, sensual and sexy. Here are a few pointers to keep in mind when you decide on what to wear:

Mei and Riaan are getting married at Oudekraal Nature Reserve, about 500 meters from the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa. We met up for their E-session at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town.
A photographer friend of mine Aziz of Aira Photography ( from London) will be covering their big day for us – since he is only flying in the day before, I stood in to do the E-session.

Ashley & Olivia live and work in Jozie, but they were born and bred here in Cape Town. They are getting married at Backsberg Wine estate in March. I met up with them before the holidays to run through the venue and do a few fun shots before the wedding.
Olivia is absolutely gorgeous and Ashley is also a good looking bloke. I can’t wait to shoot these two in their wedding attire.

For some reason, the traditional Asian wedding is not recognised as a lawful marriage and this means the couple must have a civil wedding as well. The Civil wedding of Amisha and Nilesh happened at Moore Park – an amazing golf estate in Hertfordshire.
This is our 2nd post a 3-part series on Asian Weddings done in the UK last summer.
- Hindu Wedding.
- Asian Civil Wedding (this post).

While living in the UK for 10 years, we built up a big northern hemisphere clientele – So in the quiet season here in South Africa we head over to the UK to work the wedding season in June, July and August.
In the UK, we predominantly service the Asian Wedding industry. It has grown phenomenally in past years and some of the best photographers now only do Indian weddings.
This is the first post of 3 on Asian weddings that will be done in the coming week. If you subscribe to our RSS feed, you will automatically be informed of the next one.
